Calling all West Wales entrepreneurs

Up to 30 West Wales companies are set to reap the benefits of a ground-breaking management training programme that has already helped other Welsh companies increase their turnovers by almost a third.

Starting this September, business owners in the Newcastle Emlyn area will be able to take part in an initiative that has already given a big boost to several hundred SMEs (Small to Medium Sized Enterprises) across other parts of Wales. The course – valued at over £11,300 – will be delivered without charge to owner managers at the offices of Antur Teifi, the area’s business support organisation.

‘LEAD Wales’ is a revolutionary and highly successful training and development programme that equips owner-managers of SMEs and social enterprises to enhance their leadership skills and take their business to the next level. The £8 million scheme is being delivered through Swansea University’s School of Business and Economics and Bangor University Business School, and is backed by the Welsh Government and £5 million from the European Social Fund.
